A recent devastating more than 1000-year flood in Zhengzhou, Hunan China occurred on 20 July 2021 caused by extremely heavy rainfall with a record-breaking maximum rainfall of 201.9 mm/h within 1 hour, resulted in serious injury, loss of life and property damage.
